ART SCRAMBLE ~ Eastham Library Art Committee’s Annual Fundraiser to benefit Cape Abilities!

Saturday, November 24, 2018
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Eastham Public Library, Eastham

We are so grateful that the Eastham Public Library Art Committee has created an ART SCRAMBLE event to benefit the programs and services we provide for hundreds of individuals with disabilities right here on Cape Cod!

Artists from all over New England are invited to participate in this tremendous community event, where the public will have the opportunity to purchase beautiful pieces in an ART SCRAMBLE on November 24, 2018.

Approximately 300  5” x 7” images will be displayed in the large Turner Gallery at the Library for the month of November, culminating in a “scramble” into the library and purchase the paintings of their choice.  Each painting will be assigned a number NOT an artist name.   Artists will sign only the BACK of the painting creating an interesting “mystery” for the purchaser.  Buyers will not be able to touch the paintings, and they will not know the artists they own until after the purchase!

Each image will be an original – oil, watercolor, acrylic, encaustic or collage – whatever medium the artists choose.  All paintings are unframed and will be priced at $75 with all proceeds to benefit Cape Abilities!

ARTISTS – How to participate!

Artists may pick up their 5 x 7 substrate at the Eastham Public Library or use your own surfaces.  You may also contact if you have questions.

Create your original images and return them to the E.P. Library by October 26, 2018 (you may mail them back to the library if you cannot personally drop them off).   REMEMBER ONLY SIGN YOUR NAME ON THE BACK!   Your name will be included on an alphabetical list of contributing artists which will be on prominent display to the public.

The sale will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018, with a reception at the Chapel in the Pines and the Scramble doors will open at 5:30 at the Eastham Public Library.

Unsold images will remain the property of the Library and will be included in any other fundraising event benefiting a chosen non-profit.

For more details or for questions, please contact  Debra DeJonker-Berry, at  508-240-5950, or via email at

We hope we see you at the Eastham Public Library on Saturday, November 24, 2018!
