A popular administrator and athletic coach in the Barnstable public school system for more than two decades, Taylor currently serves as Director of Barnstable High School’s Project Excel, an alternative education program which expands the opportunities for students to realize their academic and personal potential while earning school credit.

We are so fortunate to have someone with Alik’s professional background and community connections join our Board of Directors,” notes Cape Abilities President and Executive Director Rosalie Edes.  “He has broad experience in building collaborations and we are thrilled that he is willing to work with us to increase our options for individuals with disabilities.”

With over 48 years of distinguished service in Barnstable County, Cape Abilities is guided by a Board of Directors with exceptional and diverse backgrounds, who are deeply invested in the Cape Cod community.
“Becoming a member of the Cape Abilities Board of Directors allows me an opportunity to share my life experiences and knowledge with other Board members to help further the agency’s goals,” said Taylor on his appointment.  “I look forward to strengthening the connection between Cape Abilities and the Cape community.”
