Get Involved

Interested in being a Cape Abilities volunteer? We have a wide variety of opportunities available across Cape Cod. You can make the difference in the life of a person with a disability.

Volunteer opportunities range from regular weekly appointments to one-time special events. Share your skills and your hobbies with someone at Cape Abilities. Volunteers can help someone learn to garden, cook, paint, take photos or use a computer. You can help plan a holiday party, lead an exercise class, or join the mall walkers’ morning stroll.

Falmouth Road Race
The Falmouth Road Race, the annual 7-mile road race from Woods Hole to Falmouth Heights, is considered one of the premier non-marathon races in the country, if not the world, attracting over 10,000 runners each year.  More people apply for places than can be accommodated in the race, so a lottery is held to select the field of runners.

Cape Abilities is among the charities selected by the Falmouth Road Race for its Numbers for Non-Profits program.  As part of Team Cape Abilities, ten dedicated runners will receive an official entry number and each will be obligated to raise a minimum of $1,000.  100% of the money raised through these donations will help Cape Abilities fulfill its mission to continue to serve individuals with disabilities on Cape Cod.
