New in 2011 is Cape Abilities Farm to Table, a seasonal shop in Chatham’s Historic District on the way to Chatham Lighthouse.

The new shop showcases produce from Cape Abilities Farm and also carries other local products, plus cold drinks and snacks. It is staffed by students from Chatham High School’s special needs program, who are gaining valuable retail experience and learning skills that will help them in many areas of life.

Cape Abilities Farm to Table was launched after the owner of a historic building that previously housed an art gallery contacted Cape Abilities to offer us use of the space rent-free. Our first season was so successful, and the shop so welcomed by the community, that we have been invited back next year. The shop will reopen in early May, 2012 – stay tuned!
