DEVELOPMENT

 

Director of Development (Fundraising) – Hyannis

Full Time-40 hours

As the chief development officer for the Agency, plans, directs and manages a comprehensive development program. Leads development activities of the Board, supervises staff and oversees department activities.  Builds and sustains relations with donors, influential leaders and decision makers throughout the community.  Develops strategic plan to promote growth and implements annual giving programs, capital campaigns, major gifts, planned giving and special events programs.  Directs all marketing campaigns for the Agency including brand marketing, marketing communications, public relations and social media activities to present one voice and one image to the community.

Bachelor’s degree. At least 5 years of experience as a multi-faceted fundraiser and marketer for a nonprofit. Database experience and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of gathering good data, establishing metrics, and preparing reports. Willingness to work flexible hours when needed, including evenings and weekends on occasion. Proven achievement and expertise in development planning and management of major and planned gifts through knowledge of various methods of charitable giving and knowledge of the legal and tax implications of both current and planned gifts. Demonstrated effectiveness in non-profit fundraising and program enhancement, including strategic planning, supervision and program development. Ability to generate enthusiasm and coordinate community and civic groups, businesses and individuals to work together to benefit the Agency. Strong knowledge of social media.

Part Time-30 hours $16 per hour

The Individual Supports Professional provides instruction, support, and serves as a positive role model to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, acquired brain injury or other unique challenges.  ISPs are expected to facilitate the development of the individual program participant’s independent living, social and recreational skills as well as ensuring his/her full involvement in the local community, and, as applicable, facilitate his/her access to appropriate health care.   The ISP provides direct, active, and constructive interactions with individuals in collaboration with individual caregivers, AFC clinical staff, community members, and families.

High school diploma or equivalent required.Associates degree or additional education in the field (s) of psychology, social work, nursing, or special education preferred.1 year of direct care, CNA, or human services experience preferred.Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care. Provides episodic nursing care and assistance with other residential tasks, as needed. Consults with residential staff regarding health issues of individuals in accordance with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Medication Administration Program (MAP) and Agency policies. Provides direct oversight and training of staff on shift in meeting individual needs.

Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.).Obtains and maintains MAP Certification. Minimum 2 years prior experience in community health nursing, visiting nursing and/or nursing specific to individuals with unique developmental or traumatic brain injury challenges.
