The 2017 Cape Abilities Salad Club!

Filed in Blog by on April 24, 2015

The Cape Abilities Salad Club returns for another flavor-filled season of healthy eating! If you are a returning member, we thank you for your continued support! If this is your first time joining our Salad Club, welcome!

The Cape Abilities Salad Club creates meaningful employment for dozens of individuals with disabilities. Our Salad Club is packaged five days a week throughout the summer by our hard-working participants at Cape Abilities Farm on Route 6A in Dennis.

The salad club harvest will change throughout the season: early on, you may receive our famous vine-ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, herbs and micro greens. As the summer progresses, fresh beans, beets, arugula, summer squash, peppers, eggplant, and some surprises from other local farms may drop into your bag! Please be aware that we can not guarantee any crop and some weeks your favorite vegetable might be missing.

As a Salad Club member, you are helping to create jobs and support our farming efforts, as well as increasing awareness for our mission.  Farm work has proven satisfying, instructive and therapeutic to Cape Abilities participants who enjoy being productive and making our gardens flourish.
