Cape Abilities Lighthouse Society
By gifting a percentage of my estate, the value of the gift increases with the value of the estate. It is so simple to add a codicil to your estate documents with this provision to make sure that part of your legacy goes to a very worthy cause.”
Marion Broidrick – Lighthouse Society Member
Your generous support of Cape Abilities provides us with a strong foundation that makes it possible for us to continue our commitment to high quality services for the more than 350 individuals with disabilities we serve every day!
By including a gift in your will, you are investing in our future and ensuring that we can continue to provide essential community-based services and supports to individuals with disabilities on Cape Cod. Our residential, therapeutic, social and employment services will help them maximize their potential and have meaningful and valued roles in the community.
Making a gift in your will is one of the easiest types of planned gifts. It costs you nothing during your lifetime and may offer tax benefits for your estate.
You can designate a portion of your assets via a bequest in your will. The following language may be helpful:
“I give to Cape Abilities $______ (or___% of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate), to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”
