Team Cape Abilities wins again at the Falmouth Road Race!

to the amazing team of Magda Moran, Maggie Duffy, Sara Kohls, Peggy Tufts, Marie Blaney Buckner, Cindy Dulude, Larissa Haynes, Liz Gatz, Kathleen Healy, James Barnes, Meredith Cohen, Christopher Silvestro, Lily Klopfer, Eileen O’Connor, Bill O’Connor, Mike Houston, Tommy Julian, Erin O’Connor, and John OConnor for their commitment and determination to raise funds and support Cape Abilities by competing
in this year’s New Balance/Falmouth Road Race!

Through their remarkable fundraising efforts, this incredible group of competitors raised more than $32,000 for Cape Abilities, a new fundraising record for this event!!

There is no question that this year’s team was our most athletic and determined, and it showed in their fundraising abilities and on the race course.  Truly an amazing effort by the entire team, who sacrificed their time and resources to compete in this event.

Why did they take on this tremendous challenge?

Larissa: I ran for Cape Abilities because I believe in empowerment, and that is the heart and soul of all they provide. Lives are impacted in small but important ways on a daily basis. So as they empower others, I am too empowered.

Peggy: I have always wanted to support Cape Abilities. When I heard they have a fundraising team for the Falmouth Road Race I knew this was my chance to get involved with this great organization that helps so many people here on Cape Cod.

Sara: I am thrilled to have run for Team Cape Abilities. I have seen the great work they do for the community first hand – we have a Cape Abilities employee at my office. They’re a great organization providing a vital service for our community.

Eileen and Bill:  As parents of a 16-year-old who has an autism spectrum disorder we are so impressed and inspired by the mission and work of Cape Abilities. We were thrilled to have this opportunity to support and to increase awareness for this phenomenal program!
